It’s been a while since we’ve been able to get out on the road, thanks to myself and Mrs. Fan welcoming Little Fan into our lives in the summertime. But this weekend, we resumed our Club 122 quest with a visit to NRG (formerly Reliant) Stadium in Houston, where the Texans were taking on the Buccaneers.
NRG Stadium is quite big and quite impressive, even though it doesn’t feel big. Seeing it next to the basically abandoned Astrodome, which itself was once considered a wondrous structure, is a pretty good indication of the size of the building. It’s a worthy venue to host big games, which it will when it hosts Super Bowl LI (its second Super Bowl) in February 2017. On Sunday, the fans went home delighted after the Texans, previously winless on the season, delighted their fans with a victory over the Bucs.
